Safely Talking toolkit

Introducing a new resource to guide safe and meaningful community discussions on suicide and suicide prevention.

Community discussions on suicide and suicide prevention can help to open up conversations and encourage people to get help early. However, it is important that discussions are facilitated safely to minimise any potential risk. The Safely Talking toolkit provides a guide to talking about suicide safely with a range of community audiences. The toolkit can be used by organisations, lived experience speakers and individuals who want to raise awareness of suicide prevention within their community.

Co-developed by MHCT and Everymind with significant input from the suicide prevention sector, the toolkit draws together current best practice information and resources to guide individuals in raising awareness of suicide prevention in a safe and meaningful way.
